BOGSTALICIOUS!
The poor kid is just scratching the surface and he's not quite sure if he knows what's going on right now or not. He's only just barely asked, and didn't hold a LONG discussion, and he already got the sledgehammer effect.
Welcome to the club Brandon, and good luck on your little journey that we just threw you into. Just remember it's not our fault, you asked for it.

My stalker for the week.

Ecthlipsis7: btw, i want to eventually hear how you made that fire poi
Adrillf: I bought them off of home of poi
Ecthlipsis7: oh =\
Ecthlipsis7: btw, did you get my msg about stalls?
Adrillf: yes
Ecthlipsis7: and?
Adrillf: did you gett my response?
Ecthlipsis7: no sire.
Ecthlipsis7: sir* even
Ecthlipsis7: but sire works surprisingly lol
Adrillf: I'm about a big of fan of stalls that I am of string manips
Adrillf: I can do the basics, but past that I don't waste my time learning them
Adrillf: I just have this thing that I'm spinning things so I'm going to keep spinning them, I don't like stalls because it stops the flow of things
Ecthlipsis7: exactly why it looks cool
Ecthlipsis7: going from like 400rpms to stall is like... whoa.. what th hell
Ecthlipsis7: do what you want, but you're kinda outta wraps and shit to learn lol
Adrillf: To each their own, I understand why it'd be impressive, I just don't like them
Ecthlipsis7: you've kinda mastered wraps, tosses, color switches..
Adrillf: me? out of stuff to learn? never
Ecthlipsis7: no, but in that field you are
Adrillf: no I'm not
Adrillf: there's so much that I have to learn
Ecthlipsis7: no? go on..
Ecthlipsis7: like?
Adrillf: I'm learing some more double color switches where both switch at the exact same time
Adrillf: contact poi with more than just my left hand spiraling in and out
Ecthlipsis7: let me rephrase...
Adrillf: duo wraps with both strings at the same time
Adrillf: tosses from different angles
Ecthlipsis7: i think your style would benefit more from adding in some other things
Ecthlipsis7: rather then just using increased difficulty versions of things u know
Adrillf: And I think my style is mine and I like adding what I like
Ecthlipsis7: rofl... touche
Ecthlipsis7: not like im in a place to give you advice anyway.
Adrillf: why add something that I don't like and call it my style? If I add in something else of someone elses' just becasue, then I'm just using their style.
Ecthlipsis7: i suppose that's true.
Adrillf: It's no longer my style, but someone elses that I'm simply borrowing
Ecthlipsis7: not like your style needs a change, btw
Ecthlipsis7: you aren't my fav stringer for no reason
Ecthlipsis7: guess it was just something i'd like to see you add.. but that is certainly no reason to do so
Adrillf: It might change, it might not, my style is simply whatever I feel like doing at that moment. Somedays it's heavy in poi, some times I actually try to play around with string manips, it just depends on what I feel like doing. In another two years, my spinning could look completly different than what it looks like now
Ecthlipsis7: always possible
Ecthlipsis7: be cool to see what string manips you came up with
Ecthlipsis7: cleric is insane with those..
Ecthlipsis7: i was really impressed
Adrillf: Because that's his thing, that's his style
Ecthlipsis7: yup
Adrillf: My manips are simple and basic at best
Ecthlipsis7: is he awesome at wraps and poi stuff too?
Ecthlipsis7: or does he stick mostly to string manips
Adrillf: In my farewell video you see one of my only manips that I have, I only have one other manip
Ecthlipsis7: i think they look awesome, but they aren't terribly my style either
Ecthlipsis7: ill make or borrow a few im sure..
Adrillf: he does technical poi, and a bit of wraps as well, but if you want the wrap comboist, stick with people like Wes, Myron, and a few others
Ecthlipsis7: i like to be ecclectic
Ecthlipsis7: but.. that's about it
Ecthlipsis7: im getting sun wraps btw
Ecthlipsis7: they're just slow
Adrillf: That's the thing, I know how to do everything. If you ask me to do 7 beat, I can. I can do thumb spilts, I can do all of that stuff, it's just I don't like it, so I don't use it
Ecthlipsis7: ya, and that;'s cool
Ecthlipsis7: as long as you could if you wanted, then it's cool
Adrillf: things like straight jackets, I can offically do, but you'll never see me do it, because I think you look like a retard when you do
Ecthlipsis7: kinda like a good writing breaking a rule
Ecthlipsis7: i think it looks impressive, simply because it looks hard
Ecthlipsis7: but not my fav move
Adrillf: by the way, if you're going to learn it, try it with handles, it's a whole lot easier with the extra 6 inches of reach
Ecthlipsis7: i only use handles
Ecthlipsis7: i can use either, but i only do use handles
Ecthlipsis7: btw, i learned that a double neck wrap is going to be my closer for almost everything
Ecthlipsis7: meaning once im done "performing" or whatever the hell u want to say
Ecthlipsis7: i just want to double neck wrap and let em hang
Ecthlipsis7: that's the way i carry my strings anyway eheh
Ecthlipsis7: until i can do a dual neck toss that is hehe
Ecthlipsis7: i have a feeling that might be... a few years though
Adrillf: neck toss? now that'd be interesting to see
Ecthlipsis7: ya, picture the closing
Ecthlipsis7: just toss both in the air
Ecthlipsis7: have em both land on the neck
Ecthlipsis7: and walk away
Ecthlipsis7: it's perfect =)
Adrillf: oh, catching them on your neck, I thought you were tossing them from your neck
Adrillf: less difficult, yet still insane
Ecthlipsis7: oh... haha
Ecthlipsis7: you should do both
Ecthlipsis7: any suggestions i make are yours to try out of course
Adrillf: catching I can imagine, I can't imagine tossing from your neck
Ecthlipsis7: i can...
Ecthlipsis7: sec.
Ecthlipsis7: hmm... from a neck trace works so far.
Ecthlipsis7: another sec
Ecthlipsis7: best i can manage is a weird color switch
Ecthlipsis7: hit the stick off the back of the neck and catch it again
Ecthlipsis7: ya, i dunno how to toss from the neck, literally speaking
Adrillf: all the more power to you if you can come up with it
Ecthlipsis7: you're in a much better spot to do such a thing ehe
Ecthlipsis7: hell, i'd be thrilled if i came up with something new for you to do
Adrillf: give it a month, maybe two, and you'll get me out of my seat at the speed you're going
Ecthlipsis7: thanks, that means a lot
Ecthlipsis7: i know this is hard for you to picture, but you're like a celebrity to me haha
Adrillf: it's the truth, sometimes we're our bigest critics, we put the people we admire on a pedastool and we think that we're never able to get to that level
Ecthlipsis7: which is especially funny because i don't give a shit about celebs
Ecthlipsis7: no, my goal is to get to your level
Ecthlipsis7: but im not a fool
Ecthlipsis7: it will take many years
Adrillf: You'll get there faster than what you think.
Adrillf: It's a whole lot easier when you're following people, it's difficult when you're trying to make your own trail
Ecthlipsis7: but that's probably why you have such a cool style
Ecthlipsis7: so there's pro's and cons to both
Ecthlipsis7: i expect to be a bit of an Adrillf clone for a while
Ecthlipsis7: but that's fine
Ecthlipsis7: then i'll have the tools to really make my own style
Ecthlipsis7: besides, you should be happy you have an apprentice =)
Adrillf: Just more weirded out. Happy, sort of, freaked out beyond all belief, yes
Adrillf: That's why I'm trying to get you to start stalking some of the people I stalked so I won't have to worry about you.
Adrillf: speaking of that, have you seen the UT compilation?
Ecthlipsis7: rofl, that was a bit offensive
Ecthlipsis7: stalking? =X
Ecthlipsis7: im a big fan, yes, but seriously, if you feel that way i'll leave you along lol
Ecthlipsis7: alone* even
Adrillf: we've never met in real life, you PM me, you know my name, and yet we still don't know each other. Stalking is the best word for it. It's not in negative connotation, it just describes it in the best way.
Ecthlipsis7: well, regardless of if you say it's not a negative cannotation, I'm not thrilled by that in the least.
Ecthlipsis7: stalking is impossible to be a positive verb to me.
Ecthlipsis7: that said, i simply considered you an online friend =\
Adrillf: Okay, not stalker, an active member of the Adrillf fan club
Ecthlipsis7: lol, i appreciate the notion, but i'm still not cool with it
Ecthlipsis7: so i'm sorry that i've been buggin' ya.
Adrillf: No worries, if I didn't want people to get in touch with me, I wouldn't sign on to AIM or give out ways to get in touch with me
Ecthlipsis7: true, but you did make things rather clear a minute ago, regardless of what you might say following.
Ecthlipsis7: so i'll leave ya be, and if you want to be friends the ball is in your court
Ecthlipsis7: i'm gonna stop buggin ya
Adrillf: I'm okay with it, I'm just saying it's a little weird to get use to
Ecthlipsis7: hmm..
Ecthlipsis7: definine "it" if you would plz?
Adrillf: think about it, if some random person just pops up and starts calling you king, it's sort of difficult to wrap your head around
Ecthlipsis7: perhaps, but only because you're overly humble
Ecthlipsis7: you are the king of handles... so be it
Ecthlipsis7: i used to have many fans... back in my music making days hehe
Adrillf: I'm okay with the random chats, I'm not okay with the sudden celeberty that I've become, it still sits weird with me just because I know that there are people MUCH better than me out there.
Ecthlipsis7: that's an opinion, and one that isn't yours to make for others
Ecthlipsis7: if i say you're the best, then you are the best to me
Ecthlipsis7: so.. =P
Adrillf: but that's the thing, when you're doing music or performing, you do it for getting the fans, the fame, the glory. A few people do it here and there for just the love of the music, but most do it for the fame.
Adrillf: While glowsticking is more for me, just for what I enjoy. I do it because I like it, and it's more for my personal entertainment.
Ecthlipsis7: yes, and it shows.
Ecthlipsis7: doesn't mean u need to get creeped out because people start recognizing your skill..
Adrillf: So for me putting out videos is really hard. I still don't like doing it. Having people look at anything that I do is really wierd, and I could live my life happy without ever hearing a single comment about my stringing.
Ecthlipsis7: Well, that's your perogitive I suppose
Ecthlipsis7: but it does seem a bit...
Ecthlipsis7: what's the word...
Ecthlipsis7: off.
Adrillf: The creeped out part comes from when it goes from simply, "you're good" that I can accept, I'm better than the average Joe, that's sort of obvious, but I'm the best??????
Adrillf: The best thing throws me
Ecthlipsis7: well let me phrase this a different way
Ecthlipsis7: i know you view poi as a true ar
Ecthlipsis7: art*
Adrillf: same with glowsticking.... different sorts of art that can help each other
Ecthlipsis7: that said, picture if other artists that painted because they loved it never showed their paingtings to anyone.
Ecthlipsis7: or musicians made music because they loved it but never shared it...
Adrillf: Emily Dickonson quickly comes to mind, she wanted all of her poems and writings burnt when she died.
Ecthlipsis7: doesn't that seem... weird?
Ecthlipsis7: and what would have happened if they were?
Adrillf: I personally agree with her wishes and want to burn all of her writings, but that's a different subject
Ecthlipsis7: i see..
Adrillf: I don't like dickonson
Adrillf: Me and her have a bad relatinoship with each other.
Ecthlipsis7: i don't either, personally, but a lot of people love her
Ecthlipsis7: fine, take someone u do like
Ecthlipsis7: Salinger?
Ecthlipsis7: whoever...
Ecthlipsis7: don't deprive the world of your art bro
Ecthlipsis7: just don't let it go to your head and you're fine
Ecthlipsis7: luckily, the art is so UG that it isn't likely to happen
Adrillf: that's why I'm willing to take one for the team and put out a video every now and again, I'm willing to share and help other people expand their ideas, but to me that's all my videos are, to help other people come up with new ideas or to explain what I've been playing around with
Adrillf: It's hard to describe a new move that you've come up with, and that's where videos help, that's where i think that videos should be used
Adrillf: For me, the videos I put out are more for helping other people out, not just showing off what I'm doing
Ecthlipsis7: obviously, and if you start releasing vids with the mindset "I'm gonna make a name for myself" then that's a problem
Ecthlipsis7: but u aren't, we know that...
Ecthlipsis7: so... grow up and accept it lol
Adrillf: I'll be back in a few, I've got to figgure out where I"m staying for my apartment tommorow, write what you want, I'll read it when I get back and then we can continue this later
Ecthlipsis7: np.
Ecthlipsis7: Well I really don't have much else to say.... I just wish you wouldn't assume that because you have fans there is a problem, or be weirded out, or whatever.
Ecthlipsis7: it comes with the territory of being one of the best... so...
Ecthlipsis7: maybe try being grateful for your fans and not calling them stalkers
Ecthlipsis7: I'll ttyl/
Ecthlipsis7 signed off at 8:21:21 PM.
ecthlipsis7 is offline and will receive your IMs when signing back in.
Adrillf: Okay, given, stalkers wasn't the best word for people like Icy, Ange, you, Pheonix and others. Fans just mean that I'm doing something right, more than right, it means that I'm doing something greater than others. Which means that I'm suposedly one of the best. Normal people don't get fans. I don't see myself as one of the best. My spinning is far from perfect, most of my style comes from my laziness, and well.... there's better out there.
Adrillf: For me it's a weird thing to get compared with people that I use to be fans of. To hear my name along with Kael, Myron, and others boggles my mind because I still don't measure up to them. It's just weird for me. I'm always open for talking about stringing, helping people out, and even just chatting, but it just gets weird for me when people start claiming I'm at that crazy OG level. I'll try to roll with it, accept what I'm given, it's still just weird to have others say those things about me.
Adrillf: Need help with a combo, a move, an idea, gs.c, or anything? I'll be more than willing to chat. Want to talk about how great I am? That's when I start trying to get your attention elsewhere.

its monday

Institute was interesting this morning....and those of us playing this game, lets remember what day it is...Monday...... that should explain enough and if you dont understand, then probably go find something shiny to stare at for awhile.

Brother Hansen was teaching class for me today. Just for me, and I have the funniest feeling that our favorite "p" word was used (proxy) ~which also needs to go on the vocabulary list~. It was really great and just made me think, there was alot of talk about being a big kid (seems to be a running theme right now) and some more fun thesis items were introduced, possibly even a new item for the checklist, but I am still working on that. Definately expect a phone call about class later when I have been able to try and figure it all out. Oh one more thing, our love hate relationship with a certain item, you know how its for here and a little bit farther in the future, Oooohhh he went there, and mine has a whole bunch of fun about that topic. I re-read it this morning since yesterday and a whole new set a ideas have entered, since yesterday. He is just messing with me now :)

As for your wonderful e-mail, great list and great lesson plan, I am still working on some more items that I know we are missing. you just called me, i'm in class but i will call you when i get out of work. :)

Check your email

I was going to put it up here, but then I thought about how people that weren't exactly okay with the idea of the thesis would react so I decided to email it to you instead.

Just remember: With our powers combined.....

From Chris Rock.... I'm sorry

l got a little cousin who got left back in the first grade.
Left back in the first grade... '
cause his mama's outgetting the groove on.
You know how dumb you got to be...
to get left back in the first grade?
''What's four plus four?'' ''Jell-O.''
But that ain't his fault. That's the mama's fault.
That's the mama's fucking fault. That's right.
l'm telling my cousin,''Tina, talk to your fucking kid.
''Talk to him, teach him some shit.
''lf you said more words to him than,'Mommy be back'...
''he might know something.''
That's right.
And it's real easy to tellwho kids are gonna be fucked up.
lt don't take no scientist to tellwho's gonna have some fucked-up kids.
lf the kid calls his grandmamma ''Mommy''...
and his mama ''Pam,'' he's going to jail.
You ain't saving no college money, you saving bail money.

i love naps

In honor of my amazing nap after I got off the phone with you, I present this tee-shirt :)
I will call you later....or are you calling me....?

Hallmark

In English we were given an assignment to do in class. The first thing that we had to do was come up with a couplet (two lines of poetry) that had the same rhyme scheme and were both in iambic pentameter. Mine were....

To sound like Hallmark is our classroom goal. In reality, I only want to fold.

Not the best iambs, but it works, and then as for the pentameter thing.... I claim poet's licence and used a feminate syllable on the second line.... or something like that...... yeah.

Well, then she handed us a paper that was full of blanks, and we had to write a poem around those two lines acording to the pattern of this set up poem.

It's 6 stanzas, with 3 lines in the first 5 and 4 lines in the last stanza. The rhyme scheme in the first 4 stanzas is aba, and the last stanza is abaa. Now the fun part comes in that that couplet we wrote is meant to get coppied and pasted in random (a) sections which made it so we didn't have to come up with too much (or at least I thought it wasn't that much). We were given about 30mins and then told to get into groups of four and read our poems. In my group, I was the only one that finished the assignment, and thus I became "the strongest poem from the group" and had to turn my poem in.

Have no fear, I wrote it in my notes on my laptop, so now.... here is my poem, titled Hallmark.

To sound like Hallmark is our classroom goal,
to the delight of some and fear of others.
In reality, I only want to fold.

The teacher says that you mustn’t be bold
But me, myself, I only want my mother.
To sound like Hallmark is our classroom goal.

Some write about their left eye, and a mole
on top of the right leg of their brother.
In reality, I only want to fold.

Some talk about the meaning of their soul.
Some describe what is under the covers.
To sound like Hallmark is our classroom goal.

Most students think that this is rather dull,
while the hearts of others begin to flutter.
In reality, I only want to fold.

My knowledge is still lacking. I’m not full
of poetry knowledge like no other.
To sound like Hallmark is our classroom goal,
In reality, I only want to fold.

There we have it, my poem. Not too shabby eh? I just might have a future in this little world we call poetry. Speaking of calling.... CALL ME AS SOON AS YOU GET OUT! Punk.

Man Date?

Robert was talking to his friend on the phone and said,

"Yeah, me and John went on a man date last week. You know, when two guys go out together and have lunch together. You know, a man date."

Enough said.

FATKIDSQUARED SAVES THE DAY!

In news and announcments from the world of college, I needed to write a paper on a short story in my HUGE book "The Norton introduction To Literature" and I chose to write on Cathedrial (mainly because I wrote on it last semester and I thought that I could do it again without too much work (change the date, the class, and the teacher's name keep everything else the same). Well... there was one problem. I couldn't find my copy of the paper. I was a little stressed becasue this is an important part of my grade in this class, and so I was frantically searching through all of my files on the BYU server, my jump drives and everywhere else that I knew that it could be hiding and finally decided that I could not find it.

I decided to take a bit of a break to get my nerves about me, but then mid-break I realized something.... I POSTED THIS ON FATKID!!
http://fatkidsquared.blogspot.com/2007/11/disabled-cathedral.html
BAM!
FATKIDSQURAED SAVES THE DAY!

Thank you fatkidsquared, without you I'd have to write a 10 page paper all over again.

If this ever comes up again, here's a coppy.

I threw this together quickly so there might be a few flaws in it, but it will at least give you a nice review of what the other 2 times said about this.

This is assuming that I stay in Provo for Spring Semester of 2008 and also Spring Semester of 2009Money I currently have:

Wells Fargo Account: $793
Ensign Account: $1200 (this is how much money you say that I have, but considering that I just payed rent from this account recently, it might be $300 less than this)
Total : $1993

Money that I will be able to get due to my job… At $8 an hour, with 18 hours a week, between now and the end of Spring semesterThat's 16 weeks at $144 a week for a total of $2304

Once I get home I will hopefully get a job that is at LEAST $8 an hour which would be 40 hours a week for 11 weeks which would equal roughly, $3520.

That puts a grand total of money that I'll be able to earn up to Fall Semester of 2009 to, $7,817.

During the following semesters (fall 2008, winter 2009, spring 2009) I'll go back to work at Namifiers and work the job that I currently have at $8 an hour for those following semesters which will equal, 45 weeks of work for about 16 hours a day, earning me $5760. That will mean that at the end of the spring semester of 2009, if I save every penny that I ever earn or currently have, not taking a single day of vacation for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any other holiday, I'll have roughly, $13,577.

However, if I add in tithing to everything that I'll be earning, that'll reduce everything by, $1,159.

Also, if we take the super conservative route and say that I'll only be spending $25 a week on food, that reduces the total by $25 a week for 72 weeks which equals out to $1,800.

As for actually trying to live on . That means that if I only pay for food and tithing after all is said and done by the end of Spring semester 2009, I'll have $10,618.Now considering that I plan to take a day off every now and again in the next year of work, we'll be gracious and subtract 15 business days for being sick, wanting to visit home, or just wanting a day off to catch up with school work. That's roughly 5 hours a day that I won't be working at $8, so that puts things at about $600 that I'll not gain, dropping me to 10,018.

Sooner or later I would like to buy clothes. I'm wearing the same things that I wore back in 2004 and most of my clothes are starting to get old, very old. Considering that one shirt at a cheep price can cost me $20, and then a cheep pair of pants is only $30, if I'm only going to get me enough clothes to wear for a week, that's going to be seven shirts, seven pants, which totals out to $350. If we add in a pair of shoes, because shoes don't usually last 2 years, and also a complete new set of underwear (I'm running off of stuff from 2005 and in 2009 I would like some new ones) plus some socks as well (also on the old side right now) we can jump to a nice number of about $500.

This takes the total down from $10,018 to $9,518

Let's not forget taxes. We'll take the original total of $13,577 and do my taxes. Acording to the Internal Revenue Service's individual tax page, if I make that much money, then I'll be paying $1,659 in taxes. That drops me from the $9,518 to $7,859.

If we stay with this much money, I then need to pay tuition. Tuition for Fall of 2008, winter 2009, and then spring of 2009 I will be paying, $6,120 ($2,040 a semester) which drops me down to a total of only $1,739 to do anything I want with. So that means that in one year I only have $1,739 to take people out on dates, buy things that I want, or even go above and beyond with any of these examples of costs that I gave. Many of these examples that I gave above are very bare bones, more bare than what I am currently doing. If I was to run this financial plan, I would only have about $22 a week from here until the end of Spring 2009 to spend on dates, random costs of life, or anything else that comes my way. This is not enough. I could, if I really needed to run this program, but considering that I plan to buy things more than just the bare bone basics in things like clothing and food, I'll have even less than the $22 a week, it'll be around $20 or even $15 a week for personal costs and if I can avoid that level, I will. If this was my only option I could figure out a way to do it, but if I don't have to live at the poverty level of life, I'm not going to. As much as I like rice, ramen and beans for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I'm going to try to avoid it as long as I can.

Now for the plan of if I stayed for only Fall and Winter of this year, and picked up for Fall, Winter, and Spring of 2008-2009.

Starting amount stays the same from the bank accounts: $1993, working until the end of the semester will get me $1024 and then I'll move to Vegas and get a full time job from the beginning of May to the beginning of September which would be 18 weeks. 18 weeks at 40 hours a week at only $8 a week adds up to be, $5,760. Once I get back to school the math is the same as the previous example where I'd earn $5,760 (you'll notice that one summer of full time work equals the same as 3 semesters of part time work). This would mean that by the end of the spring semester of 2009, I would have $14,537. However there is one flaw with this, even if I went back to my 'old' job at Sunrise pool that was only a teenagers job according to too many people, I'd be starting out at $9 an hour. Which increases the pay difference between one example to the next. The higher that I go above $8 an hour, the bigger the difference between the two examples will be. For example, if I work at $9 during the summer, in the first example, I would earn, $3,960 however if we followed the second example I would earn $6,480. That's only a dollar difference in hourly wages, however it is $2,520 difference in pay scale. If we were lucky enough to find a job at $10 an hour the wages are $4,440 and $7,200.

Another factor that we have to pay attention to is my current standing. Assuming that I would work the same hours at the same rate as next year, I am supposedly meant to earn, $4,096 (16 hours a week, at 8 an hour for 32 weeks). If this was true. I should have $4,096 in my bank account right now. If you look back to the top of this page, I only have $793. That's a big difference. I've been living bare bones. I've gone on almost no dates, I rarely if ever eat out, and I haven't bought myself anything else besides a new hoodie so I could stay warm but not overheated in my coat while at work. Given $600 has gone towards the laptop, which I hopefully will not need to buy again next year, but that still only puts me at $1,393. There's a big difference between what I SHOULD have and what I ACTUALLY have. There's actually a %34 difference between the two. That's a third of my income that I should have, that I don't.

In review.
If I go Spring 2008, even if you pay for everything that I do, I will not be able to generate enough income to finance Fall 2008, Winter 2009, and Spring 2009. The only way that I will be able to do this is to confine myself to the library eating only rice, ramen and beans with the AC/heating turned off, only living in my apartment as short as possible so I do not use electricity or utilities.

If I do not go Spring 2008, I will be able to pay for Fall 2008, Winter 2009, and Spring 2009. I won't be living in luxury, but I will be able to afford simple entertainment and more than just rice for dinner. If I miss this Spring semester, I will be able to go next spring semester.

And now for your viewing pleasure

Untitled

In English today we were given one line to write a poem from, that one line is, "The dog went to dancing school" and then told to write a poem in 8 minutes. My first instinct was to write a poem about how after dancing school the dog was forced to write a poem and then became a psycho killer dog that could have been a good dog had he not been forced to write a poem in 8 minutes, but I decided otherwise. . .

Now for my poem. . .

The dog went to dancing school
with his blind master
who was intent on learning the waltz.
Dancing is much harder
when you have six feet
to step on.

Pretty much I just took the normal aproach to poems. Write prose and hit enter whenever you feel like it.

I used my google skillz and looked up the actuall poem that she stole the first line from.

The dog went to dancing school. The dog's owner sniffed vials of Viennese air. One day the two heard the new Master of the Universe pass their door with a heavy step. After that, the man exchanged clothes with his dog. It was a dog on two legs, wearing a tuxedo, that they led to the edge of the common grave. As for the man, blind and deaf as he came to be, he still wags his tail at the approach of a stranger.

This guy is so lazy that he can't even hit the enter button at random points in his prose writing. This is supposedly 'prose poetry'. Doesn't that sort of counteract the two words? It's like saying that you know a person named Spencer who's smart. Or a person named Robert that is normal.

Give it a shot, write your poem tittled, "Untitled" (that's actually what the poet tittled his poem and so I decided to steal his title as well)

Crazy Stalker...my analysis

I am gonna have some fun with this :)

DariasClone13 (8:42:57 PM): this reminds me of DJ Sammy's Heaven...love that song
isnt she cute, she is trying to say she might actually know what the heck you like

DariasClone13 (9:21:42 PM): what is your stance on tomatoes? I find that a lot of my friends don't like them.
WHAT IS YOUR STANCE!?!?! we dont have stances on food, we eat food, we dont comtemplate their exsistence.

DariasClone13 (9:27:11 PM): before braces, I used to eat them like apples
DariasClone13 (9:28:20 PM): I can't wait to be able to do that again....once the braces are over with.
She is killing me with this! braces, i'm gonna die laughing over here, now she is going to remain this image of a 14 yr old in my brain for the rest of this conversation, then asks you about her retainer, oh emm gee

DariasClone13 (9:42:42 PM): you can also turn the markers to have them touch as if they were kissing
Did you throw up here, because i did

DariasClone13 (9:50:40 PM): I think I recall having the conversation about boredom with you in high school.....I recall telling you that I think being bored is the worst thing in the world
This is it!! This is the moment that she has been holding on to since high school!! This is where she started the stalking...

DariasClone13 (10:16:31 PM): hey, did you ever go to any football games in high school?
Why? Thats all i have to say, how long ago did we graduate, and why do we care about football?

DariasClone13 (10:30:19 PM): I used to think after my laptop, it was my graphing calculator....but when it went missing for like a day, I found that I didn't need it and I like to do the math out by hand or mentally anyway....so I don't use my calculator as much anymore
I knew a kid who carried around a graphing calculator in high school and got beat up...alot...why does she think that you would want to know about her obsession with her calculator, AHHH!

Adrillf (10:35:50 PM): Why would I want something that couldn't help me?
Get away from you??? I know that was what you were thinking

DariasClone13 (11:21:13 PM): the question before....I hope it wasn't worded in a way that might imply that I would be angry if you wanted to keep those reasons to yourself....I was just asking, matter-of-factly, not b/c it would make me angry
She is going to be stressed about this all day today, did i make him mad? i hope he isnt mad at me! all because she asked a stupid question, oh fun

oh that was fun! I automatically feel better today :)

as for your lovely other post, WHOA! its like the thesis just jumped out and smacked you in the face, and the fact that it comes from home is even better, now its kinda impossible to ignore, sorry, there will definatley be a phone call about this later

A Place to Hang Out and Work on The Thesis

Crazy Stalker

Do you know this person? Report IM Spam
DariasClone13 (8:34:42 PM): I mean, I know you used to play and may still play cello...so I figured you might like it
DariasClone13 (8:35:15 PM): there's a new rock cello band called Cellofourte
DariasClone13 (8:35:20 PM): have you heard of them?
Adrillf (8:35:30 PM): odly enough, yes
DariasClone13 (8:36:14 PM): I just attended a concert they played on our campus yesterday
DariasClone13 (8:36:17 PM): bought a CD
DariasClone13 (8:36:36 PM): they're really nice and I love the cello
DariasClone13 (8:37:16 PM): what do you think of them?
Adrillf (8:37:53 PM): they're okay
DariasClone13 (8:38:28 PM): would you ever consider playing rock cello?
Adrillf (8:38:43 PM): rock isn't really my thing
Adrillf (8:38:43 PM): so no
DariasClone13 (8:39:15 PM): what kind of music do you like then, if you don't like rock?
Adrillf (8:39:45 PM): happy hardcore
Adrillf (8:40:22 PM): http://www.di.fm/wma/hardcore.asx
DariasClone13 (8:40:29 PM): oh
DariasClone13 (8:42:57 PM): this reminds me of DJ Sammy's Heaven...love that song
Adrillf (8:43:11 PM): same idea.... just not 9 years old
DariasClone13 (8:44:00 PM): do you like newer music better than old music?
Adrillf (8:44:26 PM): yes
DariasClone13 (8:49:27 PM): in all musical genres?
Adrillf (8:50:25 PM): except for clasical music and older genres
DariasClone13 (8:52:32 PM): I like the instrumental aspects of the newer music a lot, but I find that a few artists have less than ideal moral messages
DariasClone13 (8:53:10 PM): one can definitely dance to the music, yes
DariasClone13 (8:53:26 PM): would I want any of my offspring listening to it, probably not
DariasClone13 (8:53:59 PM): some of the music out there is really dirty
DariasClone13 (8:55:32 PM): I like this happy hardcore music....it's nice
DariasClone13 (8:55:45 PM): it makes me smile
Adrillf (8:56:06 PM): hence the name HAPPY hardcore
DariasClone13 (8:56:19 PM): I knew you'd say that
DariasClone13 (8:59:07 PM): does the repetivity ever bother you?
Adrillf (8:59:21 PM): it's not as repetitive as everyone thinks
Adrillf (8:59:27 PM): it just depends on the DJ and the song
DariasClone13 (8:59:43 PM): makes sense
DariasClone13 (9:02:46 PM): very energetic music
DariasClone13 (9:03:02 PM): you could definitely do a workout in the gym to it
DariasClone13 (9:03:22 PM): hence hardcore
Adrillf (9:04:01 PM): no, hardcore because of the genre called Hardcore it's a lot darker and heavier
Adrillf (9:04:14 PM): it runs at about 180 bpm and isn't exactly happy
DariasClone13 (9:05:04 PM): I can't understand dark stuff....and if I can't understand what they are saying, then what is the point in listening
Adrillf (9:05:19 PM): it's understandable, it's just heavy
DariasClone13 (9:09:09 PM): do you like mushrooms?
Adrillf (9:09:41 PM): yes
DariasClone13 (9:10:08 PM): my friend is growing portibello mushrooms in her apartment
DariasClone13 (9:10:43 PM): she cooked me dinner tonight....portibello mushrooms in alfredo sauce on pasta....it was great
DariasClone13 (9:11:39 PM): I don't like mushrooms, but I told her I wanted to try her mushrooms....I'd never had portibellos before
DariasClone13 (9:12:22 PM): I've got this "don't knock it until you've tried it" attitude
DariasClone13 (9:13:36 PM): I was surprised...I figured she was going to be cooking them up anyway, since another one of our friends loves portibellos...but she said that the whole reason she had the dinner was b/c I said I wanted to try them
DariasClone13 (9:14:05 PM): it made me feel special
DariasClone13 (9:14:55 PM): the last 2 times she's made dinner for me...she made alaskan halibut and some sort of salmon
DariasClone13 (9:15:39 PM): I didn't like fish, but I liked the fish she cooked b/c of how she cooked it
DariasClone13 (9:17:14 PM): I think if a person cooks a dish right, it can change a person's perspective
DariasClone13 (9:18:49 PM): it's like reading a book with a new concept....it makes you think and wonder if they way you thought before was really the best way of thinking for you or if you were close-minded before having thought about it in a new way
DariasClone13 (9:19:43 PM): do you like to try new food?
Adrillf (9:19:51 PM): I'm always game for new food
DariasClone13 (9:20:26 PM): me too....I always go to the International Cookoff events that are thrown around campus
DariasClone13 (9:20:51 PM): do you have a favorite food?
Adrillf (9:21:01 PM): anything that's edible
DariasClone13 (9:21:12 PM): haha
DariasClone13 (9:21:42 PM): what is your stance on tomatoes? I find that a lot of my friends don't like them.
Adrillf (9:23:06 PM): I use to not like them, but now I do
DariasClone13 (9:23:46 PM): wow...that's interesting. how did that come about?
Adrillf (9:24:56 PM): I was at work, and we'd always eat subs, I got too tired of saying 'no tomatoes' so I learned how to like them
DariasClone13 (9:25:28 PM): haha
DariasClone13 (9:26:03 PM): have you ever had homegrown tomatoes?
Adrillf (9:26:38 PM): yes
DariasClone13 (9:27:00 PM): I love homegrown tomatoes....they're amazing
DariasClone13 (9:27:11 PM): before braces, I used to eat them like apples
DariasClone13 (9:28:20 PM): I can't wait to be able to do that again....once the braces are over with.
DariasClone13 (9:29:55 PM): how long did you have braces?
Adrillf (9:30:03 PM): 2 years
DariasClone13 (9:31:24 PM): a lot of people who had them tell me that they don't wear their retainers...do you wear yours?
Adrillf (9:32:20 PM): mine hasn't fit me sience 9th grade, and I haven't gotten a new one
DariasClone13 (9:32:58 PM): it happens
DariasClone13 (9:34:36 PM): I think I prefer blue ink over black ink in pens. Do you have a preference?
Adrillf (9:34:46 PM): black for me
DariasClone13 (9:35:07 PM): I kind of figured you'd like black.
DariasClone13 (9:36:00 PM): not really sure why
DariasClone13 (9:36:57 PM): what about with crayola markers...the fat ones or the thin ones?
Adrillf (9:37:56 PM): fat
DariasClone13 (9:38:22 PM): I figured you'd like those better, too
DariasClone13 (9:39:09 PM): I like using the thin ones better....but I used to play with the fat crayola markers like they were dolls
DariasClone13 (9:39:55 PM): they were an 8-marker member circus soap opera
DariasClone13 (9:40:19 PM): there were 4 couples
DariasClone13 (9:40:49 PM): the main plot was the guy markers would fight with each other over the women
DariasClone13 (9:42:01 PM): the markers were in a circus....b/c you can spin the markers like they were doing flips and you can connect the markers together on the bottoms and tops to make them into slilts
DariasClone13 (9:42:09 PM): stilts*
DariasClone13 (9:42:42 PM): you can also turn the markers to have them touch as if they were kissing
DariasClone13 (9:42:51 PM): I was a creative child
DariasClone13 (9:44:02 PM): I don't think other people would have thought to do that with markers....then again, I was told I used to do this doll thing with utensils too
DariasClone13 (9:45:03 PM): did you ever play with strange objects when you were a child?
Adrillf (9:45:32 PM): you're talking to the kid that juggles, spins fire and spins glowsticks
DariasClone13 (9:45:49 PM): haha
DariasClone13 (9:45:56 PM): true
DariasClone13 (9:45:58 PM): good point
DariasClone13 (9:46:50 PM): my little brother can juggle
DariasClone13 (9:46:59 PM): he can whistle most any song too
DariasClone13 (9:47:11 PM): he's got amazing talents
DariasClone13 (9:47:19 PM): my other brother can ride a unicycle
DariasClone13 (9:47:35 PM): and can do backflips on the trampoline
DariasClone13 (9:48:59 PM): what got you into juggling and stick spinning?
Adrillf (9:49:34 PM): I got borred
DariasClone13 (9:49:50 PM): haha
DariasClone13 (9:50:40 PM): I think I recall having the conversation about boredom with you in high school.....I recall telling you that I think being bored is the worst thing in the world
DariasClone13 (9:51:44 PM): these days I keep thinking to myself, "I hate stupid people", b/c the underclassmen are really stupid most of the time
DariasClone13 (9:53:03 PM): my friends have mentioned to me that they think stupid people should have a sign above them saying stupid as a warning
DariasClone13 (9:53:35 PM): oftentimes, I find that I can have an intelligent conversation with most people if I get them on the right topic
Adrillf (9:53:52 PM): the key is finding that topic
DariasClone13 (9:54:22 PM): sometimes, it is something really obscure
DariasClone13 (9:54:41 PM): one girl I know is very informed on cloud seeding and tornadoes
DariasClone13 (9:55:03 PM): but she's quite dumb on other topics
DariasClone13 (9:55:44 PM): unfortunately, she's also very informed on nuclear weapons...which the others of us thinks is disturbing
DariasClone13 (9:57:22 PM): do you know people who will start laughing mid-story a lot when discussing topics like nuclear weapons, bombs, et cetera? would you think that was disturbing?
Adrillf (9:57:36 PM): not realy
DariasClone13 (9:59:00 PM): even when that person was giving a presentation in class about them?
Adrillf (9:59:14 PM): still not too weird
DariasClone13 (9:59:47 PM): we were upset b/c she would laugh to the point that we couldn't understand what she was saying
DariasClone13 (10:00:04 PM): and that defeats the purpose of a presentation
Adrillf (10:00:25 PM): well that's more annoying, not disturbing
DariasClone13 (10:00:41 PM): indeed, you are right
DariasClone13 (10:01:20 PM): how's the weather where you are?
Adrillf (10:01:49 PM): cold
DariasClone13 (10:04:21 PM): it's cold here too
DariasClone13 (10:05:24 PM): are you voting in the upcoming election?
Adrillf (10:05:49 PM): yes
DariasClone13 (10:06:11 PM): who do you want to win the Presidential election?
Adrillf (10:06:50 PM): I haven't gotten too into this election so I'm not sure which one I want to win yet
DariasClone13 (10:07:14 PM): I'm not very informed on the platforms yet, either.
DariasClone13 (10:08:01 PM): my dad is really into politics though, so I figure he'll catch me up on it when I go home for that week of Spring Break this semester
DariasClone13 (10:08:45 PM): my parents went to the Nevada caucus here recently
DariasClone13 (10:09:05 PM): my dad is going to be a delegate
DariasClone13 (10:09:30 PM): he is in support of Hilary
DariasClone13 (10:11:00 PM): I've kind of been hoping she'd run for office for awhile...I kind of want her to win b/c I think she has the most experience....however, I don't know the platforms yet, so I am still open to changing my mind upon the gaining of more knowledge
DariasClone13 (10:11:46 PM): I'm not really sure that a woman could ever get elected president, though.
DariasClone13 (10:12:57 PM): I think the U.S. is somewhat close-minded on issues of equal-opportunity and the like.
DariasClone13 (10:14:54 PM): I'm doing my thesis on ethanol energy....very controversial topic.
DariasClone13 (10:16:31 PM): hey, did you ever go to any football games in high school?
Adrillf (10:16:49 PM): nope
DariasClone13 (10:17:38 PM): I guess that was a perk to being in orchestra.
DariasClone13 (10:18:27 PM): if I hadn't been in Marching Band, I wouldn't have gone to any either.
DariasClone13 (10:21:31 PM): now that you're back in the U.S., do you miss anything from Sweden?
Adrillf (10:23:07 PM): a few things like some of the food
DariasClone13 (10:23:31 PM): I knew you would say the food
DariasClone13 (10:24:41 PM): if you had to choose, what is the most important electronic device you use in your life?
Adrillf (10:25:39 PM): laptop
DariasClone13 (10:26:03 PM): other than laptop?
Adrillf (10:27:11 PM): computer
DariasClone13 (10:27:26 PM): haha, very funny
DariasClone13 (10:27:34 PM): other than computer?
Adrillf (10:28:03 PM): don't know, I don't think about stuff like that
DariasClone13 (10:30:19 PM): I used to think after my laptop, it was my graphing calculator....but when it went missing for like a day, I found that I didn't need it and I like to do the math out by hand or mentally anyway....so I don't use my calculator as much anymore
DariasClone13 (10:30:50 PM): I found that my 2nd most valuable electronic possession was my watch
DariasClone13 (10:31:00 PM): I like knowing what time it is.
DariasClone13 (10:31:24 PM): laptop is, of course, no. 1
DariasClone13 (10:32:26 PM): but if I was stranded on a desert island....I'd want a watch that never ran out of power
DariasClone13 (10:33:10 PM): I mean, I suppose, I'd probably be able to make myself a sun dial instead with the sand and a rock....so I wouldn't need a watch
DariasClone13 (10:34:17 PM): so then, my favorite book could be the possession I get stranded with instead
DariasClone13 (10:34:43 PM): what possession would you want if you were stranded on a desert island?
Adrillf (10:34:54 PM): A satelite phone
DariasClone13 (10:35:02 PM): predictable
DariasClone13 (10:35:24 PM): one that you couldn't save you?
DariasClone13 (10:35:34 PM): one that couldn't save you?*
Adrillf (10:35:50 PM): Why would I want something that couldn't help me?
DariasClone13 (10:37:37 PM): if there was no way to get off the island, you might want something to keep you sane
DariasClone13 (10:38:16 PM): but you're right....it would be dumb not to want something that could help you escape
DariasClone13 (10:39:28 PM): but I suppose I am not totally adverse to the idea of being stranded on a desert island....so I'd rather have a possession that would help me pass the time in a more enjoyable manner
Adrillf (10:40:04 PM): like a yatch with a full staff and food on board
DariasClone13 (10:40:32 PM): lol
DariasClone13 (10:40:40 PM): you and food
Adrillf (10:41:05 PM): It's a deserted island, I don't want to die there
DariasClone13 (10:41:08 PM): you're silly
DariasClone13 (10:41:37 PM): I said desert island....I didn't say it was uninhabited
Adrillf (10:41:52 PM): deserted = no one lives there
DariasClone13 (10:42:48 PM): I never said it was deserted....I said it was a desert island....desert = arid region
DariasClone13 (10:45:02 PM): it could be like Robinson Crusoe...with a Friday just around the corner
DariasClone13 (10:45:09 PM): or a whole bunch of cannibals
DariasClone13 (10:45:48 PM): you could have a dinner party....or you could be invited and potentially be the dinner
DariasClone13 (10:47:10 PM): the excitement of being stranded on a desert island....that could be a great tourist hot spot on the other side of the island
DariasClone13 (10:47:39 PM): that would definitely be ironic
DariasClone13 (10:48:06 PM): did you ever see the movie Castaway?
Adrillf (10:48:54 PM): no
DariasClone13 (10:49:57 PM): have you seen any Tom Hanks movies? if any, which ones?
Adrillf (10:50:17 PM): I'm not that big of a movie goer, I haven't seen that many of any moves
Adrillf (10:50:21 PM): movies*
DariasClone13 (10:50:47 PM): do you have a favorite movie? what movie is your favorite, if any?
Adrillf (10:51:50 PM): secret window for various reasons
DariasClone13 (10:52:29 PM): do you want to explain those reasons? or would you rather keep those to yourself?
DariasClone13 (10:52:55 PM): I've never seen Secret Window.
DariasClone13 (11:16:25 PM): sorry I haven't been talking for a bit....been working on studying organic chemistry
DariasClone13 (11:16:34 PM): mechanisms, good times
DariasClone13 (11:21:13 PM): the question before....I hope it wasn't worded in a way that might imply that I would be angry if you wanted to keep those reasons to yourself....I was just asking, matter-of-factly, not b/c it would make me angry
Adrillf (11:21:51 PM): no, it's just I too am doing homework
DariasClone13 (11:22:09 PM): ahhh
DariasClone13 (11:22:26 PM): we could call it an evening, then
Adrillf (11:22:46 PM): okay
DariasClone13 (11:22:53 PM): catch you later

He's getting the assist from the jacket, skillz
and just because I thought it was great. I am a little nervous for what this movie will even be about....the quote at the bottom, " Prepare for Awesomeness"

Reading Time!

Today's author. . . Michael Sowder

Read the poems by Michael Sowder in the attachment, and then answer one of these questions:
1. Images are phrases that make you see, hear, taste, feel, or smell. Poets use images to convey the meaning they hope readers will get from their poems. Choose one of the poems, identify the images it contains, and explain how each image contributes to the meaning Michael Sowder hopes you will take from the poem.
2. In a poem, things change from the beginning to the end of the poem--both the situation and also what the speaker and the reader understand about what is happening and what it means. Choose one of the poems and describe what changes from the beginning to the ending, both in terms of situation and meaning.

Three Poems by Michael Sowder

Ludington Beach, Lake Michigan

The beach was a field of ice,

thick enough to walk on, though now

and again your foot broke through to sand.

We pulled our hoods around our eyes,

making tiny windows on the world.

Wind roared in over the surf, flattened

the down against our bodies, so my love

and I steadied each other as we walked.

Into the blind sun and minus-zero wind

you could look for only a moment,

but you wanted to look, for the wind

lifted the waves, and the sun

struck the risen water green

like cut glass that shattered on the shore

as if white were the essence of green.

Fish appeared beneath our feet,

thousands, identical—with silver sides,

sapphire bellies, and dark gray fins,

blue comets as far as you could see

frozen in every expression of fish life:

leaping, wriggling, squirming;

groups darting to one side,

others strangely arranged

in pinwheels, spirals, bracelets at our feet.

In the distance the lighthouse that marked

the trail to our cabin stood an hour away,

so we hiked upon the glittering bodies,

across a jeweled cemetery,

an illuminated manuscript

we were tongueless and terrified to read.

My Grandfather from Kentucky

was like a stranger coming into our house,

taking a bed at the end of his life.

And through his last months I sat with him—

making sandwiches between classes,

buying lighter fluid and Lucky Strikes,

changing his bed clothes, cleaning every day

his bedside toilet.

He talked about his old life—

the tobacco farm, cat fishing on summer nights,

his wife the best rifle shot in the county—

while the months became weeks, then days.

One morning in his room in St. Francis’—

where they moved him the day I found

his toilet full of blood—

he turned to me eyes as clear

as ten o’clock light, and asked

when I would take him across the street?

There outside the window cars stood gleaming

in the lot, where he said the grass was soft.

In the last days, there was little to be done.

He could no longer talk. Yet his eyes watched me

as I rubbed white lotion on his feet, and counted back

five generations until my father’s family

disappeared in the Kentucky hills.

I wasn’t there the last night.

I was out in the field behind the house.

The trees stood around the field like great dark birds

speckled with stars, and at a certain moment, I knew,

and kept walking—remembering trails with my father,

the first owl I ever saw, first indigo bunting

in its ecstasy of blue,

the first fawn, spotted and awkward,

all the exquisite strangers of the world

my grandfather released with open hands.

Wapiti

Late October. Grizzly Country.

My wife and I sleeping under stars.

I wake to perfume of alpine fir

and a shadow coming toward us.

A great bull elk

grazes the meadow above,

pawing at the ground. Clouds of breath

hover around his face, and when he lifts his head

the sky is filled with antlers, like hooks

thrown for stars. Wapiti,

we are lost, this woman and I,

we are losing each other in the world.

Wind tosses the tops of cedars. A glitter

of stars and runaway clouds.

The undertow of sleep pulls and pulls,

washing the world away.

A clatter of hooves along the edges

of dream comfort like sounds in a kitchen

heard in childhood beds, saying,

Sleep, child, no danger is near.

Tonight, you are safe on open ground.

My turn to BOLD things in that article. . .

But first. . .
Now with that out of the way. . .
Nationally, one in three teenagers report knowing a friend who has been hit, punched, kicked, slapped, choked or physically hurt by their boyfriend or girlfriend (What they don't tell you is that all of those people know the same girl). Whether you know them personally or not, teens at your own school are in unhealthy relationships involving control, physical abuse and other behaviors that can follow them into adulthood as perpetrators or victims of relationship abuse. In an effort to spread awareness of this often overlooked issue, Congress unanimously passed a resolution to recognize the week of February 4- 8 as National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Week across the nation.Teen dating abuse isn' an argument every once in a while, or a bad mood after a bad day. Dating or relationship abuse is a pattern of controlling and abusive behavior. It can cause injury and even death, and though these are often the stories that make the news, it doesn't have to be physical. It can be verbal and emotional abuse - constant insults, isolation from family and friends (hey, you don't let me hang out with anyone else), controlling what someone wears (*cough* green shirt*cough*), and sexual assault. A 2007 survey from Teenage Research Unlimited found that 71% of teens regard boyfriends/girlfriends spreading rumors about them on cell phones and social networking sites as a serious problem (so you better stop posting junk about me on this website). Another 68% of teens say boyfriends/girlfriends sharing private or embarrassing pictures/videos on cell phones and computers is also a serious concern. In its first year of operation, loveisrespect, National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline has already seen a steady stream of calls and chats from both teens and parents.

These are some questions that can help you decide if your relationship is healthy or not.
Does your boyfriend/girlfriend:
Look at you or act in ways that scare you? (you might want to define this one, using the D word shouldn't count towards this one)
Act jealous or possessive? (Mrs. President of the ALA)
Put you down or criticize you? (You call me FAT)
Try to control where you go, what you wear or what you do? (*cough* Green shirt, Kings game, Making me come home for summer *cough*)
Text or IM you excessively? (I have never done this)
Blame you for “making” them treat you badly? (At least you know that it's your fault)
Threaten to kill or hurt you or themselves if you leave them? (You don't threaten me, you threaten anyone that I would be dating)
Try to stop you from seeing or talking to friends and family? (What if I try to stop myself?)
Try to force or guilt you into sexual activity? (*cough* IDIOT *cough*)

Getting help for yourself or a friend may be the most important way you can commemorate Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Week this year. If you answered yes to even one of these questions, consider talking to a peer advocate (DUDE! They've got peer advocates! It's going to be like a teen version of Judge Judy! When I think advocate I think lawyer.) by calling 1-866-331-9474 (1-866-331-8453 TTY) or chatting at

ok i think that we might need to call these people. Because from what i just read, we are both in an abusive relationship and have been for quite awhile now. And we can call these people and really freak them out!! its amazing!!!!!

np

oh my goodness....

I got invited over to Wendy's for movies and smores. I grabbed tiffany to come along because i just knew that it was going to get crazy like it was last time (hairspray) and i knew that we could make fun of people :) Ok the second we get there, this girl just walks out. it is a girl i have met before and she hasnt always been super open to me because i am well...how do i put it... different than these kids. Well she just walks right out. I'm asking like what was that, man she really must not like me. It turns out that she recognized tiffany from our pictures this weekend and appartently tiffany was mean to her like 7 years ago when they were neighbors. It was sooo funny! just to see the look on tiffany's face like "np" these kids are crazy.

ok people are reading over my shoulder and i am still at wendy's, we are watching The RM because the original movie was "too graphic" it looked like someone was killing their puppies. crazy...i am currently stealing all of wendy's itunes and silently laughing. :)

call me later, i need to talk to a normal person
